Das Team GT Corse by Rinaldi geht mit hohen Erwartungen und groΓen Zielen an den Saisonstart der Blancpain Endurance Series (BES) am kommenden Wochenende in Monza (Italien). Die “Eifel Ferraristi” holten sich in den vergangenen Tagen den letzten Feinschliff bei wichtigen Testfahrten im spanischen Valencia.
Die dort gesammelten Erkenntnisse flieΓen direkt in die Abstimmungsarbeit der beiden Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 ein. Beim Auftakt der BES werden Vadim Kogay, Rinat Salikhov und Marco Seefried (Startnummer 333) sowie Pierre Ehret, Alexander Matschull und Frank Schmickler (Startnummer 458) am Steuer der beiden Fahrzeuge der Eifelaner sitzen.
Danny Pfeil (Teamchef): “Marco Seefried ist bΓ€renstark in die Saison gestartet. Er war bei den 24 Stunden von Dubai extrem gut unterwegs, hat sich bei den 12 Stunden von Sebring den Klassensieg geholt und tritt in diesem Jahr im Rahmen eines Werksengagements beim 24-Stunden-Rennen auf dem NΓΌrburgring an.
Kurzum: Der Junge ist voll da, 2014 wird sicherlich sein Jahr. Marco kann bestimmt fΓΌr Γberraschungen sorgen, denn das Mittelmotor-Konzept unseres Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 passt perfekt zu seinem Fahrstil. Ebenfalls richtig gut aufgestellt sind wir mit unserer Startnummer 458.
Alexander Matschull ist ein schneller Mann, Pierre Ehret hat unendlich Erfahrung und Frank Schmickler war nicht nur in der DTM auf hohem Niveau unterwegs. Der Frank hat immerhin ΓΌber 70 Rennen im ADAC GT Masters hinter sich. Ich rechne damit, dass unser Trio in der #458 beim Auftakt in Monza um das Podest der Amateurwertung mitkΓ€mpfen wird. Wir haben alles getan, damit wir uns als einziges deutsches Ferrari-GT3-Team bestens prΓ€sentieren.”
Michele Rinaldi (Technischer Leiter): “In der Vorbereitung ist das Licht in der Werkstatt quasi nie ausgegangen. Wir haben die Revisionen nach dem Dubai-Einsatz gemacht, haben in Le Castellet, Monza und Valencia getestet – hoffentlich bekomme ich zu Hause nicht die gelbe Karte fΓΌr so viel intensive Arbeit.
Die EinsΓ€tze mit GT Corse sind fΓΌr mich und meine Mannschaft eine tolle Herausforderung. Ich kann den Start in die Saison kaum noch erwarten. Endlich geht es um Siege, PodestplΓ€tze und Punkte.”
